LAS VEGAS FIREFIGHTERS DISPUTE REVIEW-JOURNAL COLUMNIST’S PORTRAYAL OF EMERGENCY RESPONDERS Firefighters Contend Las Vegas Review-Journal Columnist Inaccurately Reports Incident, Despite Official City Audit Las Vegas, Nev. – Las Vegas Firefighters Local 1285 President Dean Fletcher says that Las Vegas Firefighters have been defamed by a series of stories written by Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Jane Ann Morrison. Morrison’s columns on March 6, 2010 and July 1, 2010 claimed two Las Vegas firefighters came to the door of a friend of hers. Morrison claims they were canvassing the neighborhood, supposedly gathering signatures on a petition supporting the Las Vegas Firefighters who were in contract negotiations at the time. Read more...
